No specific agenda today, discussions centred around an application to Methodist Insurance for a grant of £1500 & further development Church gardens particularly the grass area at the front of church.
Yvonne has kindly taken the lead on the grant with assistance from Hazel.
Yvonne provided an update of great progress to date with consultation undertaken with a number of users of the church buildings. Costings have been obtained for the supply of rustic log seats. Our submission is also going to include the possibility of access direct from Glen Almond Rd for wheel chairs & push chairs. Concerns were raised about the boundary with the school room development & the need for a barrier/ fence.
Issue to be raised at the next Property & Finance Meeting, Action Tim & Paula.
Discussed the further rewilding of the grass area at the front of church. Tim has identified the company that provide wild flower seed to Rotherham Council for their verges and many others Pictorial Meadows Ltd & best of all they are a Sheffield based company. They can provide a seed mix with a succession of flowers which will provide interest from spring to autumn.
Decision as to areas to be seeded & seed mix to be made at next meeting
Signage explaining the various area of the garden are urgently required. Action Tim & Sean
