Book a private session on our FREE legal advice clinic for carers
We've arranged for Lawson Wills and Probate to provide carers with access to free 30-minute individual legal advice clinics. Topics covered have included Wills, Discretionary Trusts, Vulnerable Persons Trusts, Power of Attorney, Court of Protection applications, Estate Planning and Probate. Some spaces are available for the next set of sessions on Friday 28 July.

Join in the 'Walk & Talk' for carers group event on Thursday 3 August
Our ‘Walk & Talk’ events are based around a short walk to help carers benefit from some regular exercise, whilst talking to other people with a caring role. The walks are free, friendly and fun and take place on the first Thursday of each month. They are led by experienced walkers using paths through local parks or woodlands and along some country lanes.

FREE sports and games social afternoon at Ponds Forge
We’re working in partnership with Sheffield City Trust (SCT) to offer carers a social afternoon of FREE sports and games at Ponds Forge on the last Wednesday of the month. A great chance to meet others and have a break. Carers are welcome to bring someone, but please wear suitable clothing and footwear. Some of our team and some SCT staff will be on hand to help.

Join in the Carers Support Groups being held across Sheffield
These Carer Support Groups take place across Sheffield on a regular basis. They are a great place to meet other people going through similar experiences. Use the link below the image to visit our webpage with a list of all the groups, where and when they meet and how to join in. They are run by the Carers Centre and community leaders, or volunteers and carers themselves.

Have your say in the 'Older Persons Independent Living' Survey
Sheffield City Council is inviting carers and members of the public who are in later life and thinking about housing options to take part in an online survey. They are also keen to hear from people who may have recently helped older friends and family members to find a home. The feedback will help develop plans for improving future housing choices and support services.

Carers UK are inviting unpaid carers to take part in this year's survey
Carers UK are asking unpaid carers (or former unpaid carers) who are looking after a disabled, older or seriously ill relative or friend to take part in their online survey. Last year’s survey results were used to campaign for new legislation and to seek improvements to carers' benefits and for carers to be included in cost of living payments. Use the link for more details and to take part.

FREE chair based dancing exercise classes every Tuesday
These free chair based seated dance classes are fun and easy to learn. They are held every Tuesday from 4pm-5pm at Hillsborough Park Pavillion and provide a physical and social activity to help improve health and wellbeing. The classes can be done seated or standing, which makes them fully inclusive and suitable for people with all experience levels and abilities.

Shipshape's 'Family Summer Event' is on Wednesday 26 July
Shipshape is a community hub supporting people in Nether Edge, Abbeydale, Highfield, Sharrow, Broomhall & the City Centre.
