Carers have free access to the Digital Resource for Carers, provided by Carers UK and Sheffield Council. This online resource offers a range of up-to-date information to support carers in their caring role. It includes access to the 'jointly app' the online co-ordination tool for anyone sharing care. We're now inviting carers to join a focus group to help us develop the content that is most relevant and important to website users. The University will share feedback from carers with the Mayoral Combined Authority who are developing an Inclusion Plan to ensure unpaid carers are considered and included. This survey is the UK’s most comprehensive research into the lives and experiences of carers. The 2022 survey is now open until it closes on 11 September. Your feedback helps to paint a picture of what life is like for carers at the moment, including the challenges and the impact caring has on finances, health, and wellbeing. The comprehensive report provides helps illustrate the amazing work of carers across the UK. Iceland has launched an initiative so that every Tuesday, everyone over 60 can bag 10% off their shop, with no minimum spend. Iceland Foods is the first and only supermarket in the UK to be offering this type of discount as it continues to help its shoppers tackle the rising costs of living. Pension Credit is separate from a State Pension and gives extra money to help with living costs if you are over State Pension age and on a low income. It can also help with housing costs such as ground rent or service charges; and may be available even if you have other income, savings or own your home. South Yorkshire Police and the National Autistic Society have worked together to create a new Autism Alert Photo ID Card. They also offer Learning Disability and Mental Health cards to help their officers and other emergency service workers communicate effectively with individuals with learning disabilities.
