Carers News

Welcome to this special edition of our Enews! that celebrates and supports Carers Week 2022

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities in the UK. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access the support needed.

We’re supporting the campaign with a ‘Carers Wellbeing Event’
We’re partnering with Sheffield City Trust to celebrate Carers Week and offer a series of free taster sessions. Come along and meet the Carers Centre team who will provide information about the activities on the day and our range of services.

The Wellbeing Event will run from 11am to 7pm and include free activities such as
* New Age Kurling   * Skittles   * Table Tennis  * Badminton
* Relaxing hand massage  * Relaxation classes   * Low impact aerobics

We're also supporting the campaign with a ‘Special Offer'
Carers will be able to sign up to an offer for 8 FREE ACTIVITIES at Sheffield City Trust venues. This includes popular activities such as gym time, fitness classes, swimming and ice skating! The offer will be available to all Carer Card holders from Monday 6 June by visiting the Sheffield City Trust website.

Quick reminder of our 40% discount for carer card holders
In addition to the above, we'd also remind Carer Card holders they can enjoy a discount on monthly membership of Sheffield City Trust. Click here for details.
