Sunday: Our Walk & Talk will be featured on BBC's Songs of Praise
We want to thank everybody that attended our Walk and Talk at Whirlow Hall Farm with BBC's Songs of Praise. Their camera crew joined us on the walk and interviewed some carers. The short 4-minute video video will be shown on the programme on Sunday 9th of June at 1315-1350. View more details to find out how to contact us and join our future Walk and Talk events.

Monday: Carers Book Group at the reading room in the Central Library
If you enjoy a good book, and chatting to like minded people, join us for Carers Week at our Carers Book Group. We read a different book each month and meet up for a lively but friendly discussion. We borrow the books from the Central Library so there is no cost to you. Click on the image on the left to reserve a free spot on the Carers Book Group on 10 June.

Tuesday: NHS Stand and Carers Drop-In event
Some of our Sheffield Carers Centre staff will join NHS nurses on stall (56-58) at the Moor Market. This is a chance for carers to access free advice and health checks. There is also a Drop-In event at Stocksbridge later in the day, which is another great chance for carers to meet our advisors and representatives from GP practices in Stocksbridge Community Leisure Centre.

Wednesday: Free online exercise class(es) for carers
We are inviting carers to join us on 12 June for free online exercise classes. We have partnered with Community Wellness Services to provide these classes through Zoom. These include Chair Aerobics, Aerobic Workout, Mindful and Movement (Stretches/Tai Chi and Mindfulness), and Barre Pilates. Click more details to reserve your free place.

Thursday: Drop-In event for carers in Sheffield and Webinar
A Drop-In event at St Mary’s Community Centre on Bramall Lane. This is an opportunity for carers to meet our staff for free information by a support buddy to advise, signpost, and make appoints for St Mary's life admin service. One of our Carer Advisors will also share their experiences of being a carer for someone with Huntington's Disease during a free online webinar.

Friday: Super Carers Café at Room G46 of Sheffield Town Hall
This is a free event with no booking required from 10:00am to 12:00pm. The Lord Mayor will be attending this Carers Café at 10am for the first half an hour. There will be a presentation from Kay Fitzgerald on Herbert Protocol for 15 minutes at 10:30am. Following this there will be a performance from Sheffield Carers Choir at 10:45am for 20-30 minutes and a free raffle.
