New page has 'easy to find' links to trusted sources of information
As the situation around the pandemic continues to develop we’ve updated our Covid page. The page is now divided into sections covering (1) vaccination & booster jabs (2) testing (3) free PPE for carers (4) flu jabs (5) general advice from local organisations. Each section has links to other websites making it easier for carers to find information to help everyone stay safe.

We want your feedback on the Covid vaccination programme in Sheffield
There are many sources of information about Covid which can be overwhelming. We’re working with NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group to identify which sources are being used by carers. There are 4 questions in this quick survey, and the results will help us evaluate the aspects of the programme that have worked well and those that could be improved.

This website has useful links on the options for 'urgent care' in Sheffield
There are times you may need urgent medical advice or treatment but don’t need to go to the hospital's A&E department. Using other services can often help you get the advice or treatment you need quicker. This NHS website has useful information on the options available for different situations when urgent care is needed. Use the link to have a look and bookmark the website.

Launch of 'Just Can't Wait Card' in print and digital formats

Call for carers to help with research by a former SCC Carer Advisor
One of our former Advisors is now studying at university and looking for carers to take part in her research project. This is about how couples support each other when they are caring for a young adult child (16-25) who is experiencing mental health difficulties. Use the link for details of what is involved with the research project and how 'your experience matters'.

Our Presentation and Annual Report from the AGM is now online
Our thanks to everyone that attended the Annual General Meeting last December. A copy of the presentation we used to review 2020-21 and outline some of our plans for 2022 is available to view on our website – along with a copy of the printed Annual Report for last year. The event ended with a viewing of our short video about Caring for someone with Dementia.
