The guidance for clinically extremely vulnerable was recently updated
Use this link to read the recently updated guidance for people previously considered clinically extremely vulnerable from Covid-19. There is no longer separate guidance for people identified as  CEV , but it is recommended they take care to avoid routine coughs, colds and respiratory viruses. Spring boosters (4th vaccination) for people aged 75 and over, care home residents and people with weakened immune systems now available to book via the NHS or at local walk-in clinics. This gives vulnerable people added protection against the virus. Use the link below the image then enter your postcode to find your nearest walk-in clinic or you can call 119 for help and support.
 
Our new webpage has details of the Carers CafÄ— and Support Groups
Visit our new webpage for details of the Carers CafÄ— that meets every Friday. The in-person event takes place in the city centre on the 2nd Friday of each month, and Zoom events are held on all the other Fridays. The webpage also has details of when 'carer support groups' meet at various locations around the city. All events offer a friendly space to meet and support each other.
 
Discount at SCT venues in line with the 'Carers Active April' campaign
As part of our support for the ‘Carers Active April’ campaign by Carers UK, we’re reminding unpaid carers they can use our free carer card to claim a fantastic 40% discount for ‘fitness memberships’ at the venues run by Sheffield City Trust. Great opportunity to join the team at Sheffield Carers Centre
We are looking for someone with Reception and Administration experience to join our team that provides a wide range of support, advice and assessment services to thousands of unpaid carers in Sheffield. The post is based at our city centre offices on Young Street, and you can use the link for information and an application form which should be returned by Friday 30 April.

This 14-page booklet provides information about a wide range of seminars, discussion groups and programmes for parents and carers in Sheffield. It also has details of the range of options designed to help people fit the services into their busy schedules, plus contact information to book a place.
 
Join these workshops & feedback on the Mental Health Passport
Chilypep has supported young people to create a Mental Health Passport, so they can take control of their own mental health and not have to repeat their stories. They now looking to roll this out across the City as an all age resource and want to hear from adults with lived experience about the passport and what might make it better. Details of Dementia CafÄ—s to help unpaid carers in Sheffield
Click on the link for information about Dementia Cafés in Darnall and Handsworth that welcome carers and cared-for people. The poster details the dates and venues and cost of £2 per person for hot drinks and cakes and the chance to meet others in a safe and friendly environment. It also explains who to contact for more information and to book places at the events.
 
Webpage for Autism related support services and other resources
This webpage by the Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust has information about a range of services and support for specific areas that children may need help with. This includes a series of video workshops that are designed for parents and carers of children and young people either with a diagnosis of autism, or who are awaiting an autism assessment.
